Talal Al Dhiyebi is the Director of Planning & Infrastructure at Aldar Properties. In this role Talal oversees several main functions including: Urban Planning, Infrastructure, Integrated Technologies, Design, Transportation, and Project Affairs. Talal was tasked with creating this division to provide key support to the project teams by ensuring Aldar’s developments are in line with the Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 and the Surface Transport Master-Plan 2030.
Talal leads the team to engage with projects from the early stages to determine the appropriate land use and phasing enabling the projects to add to the social and economic development of Abu Dhabi whilst maintaining healthy returns to Aldar and its shareholders.
It is also an essential part of Talal’s role to ensure that the relevant government agencies long term strategies take into account the rapid development program that Aldar has set to achieve in the coming years. These departments include the Urban Planning Council, Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Department of Transport, Education Council, Health Authority and Abu Dhabi Police. It is essential that the plans are aligned to ensure that infrastructure is future-proofed and always kept ahead of development.
Talal graduated from the University of Melbourne in Australia with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Honours).
