Speaker Bio:
Dr. Wang is a senior transportation planner with rich experiences in several countries, including US, China, India and UAE since her graduation with a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering in 1995. She returned to Beijing from the USA in 2003 to work on the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Since then, she has developed a 30 person transport and urban planning team to act as the consultant for City of Beijing and also provides extensive support to PB’s projects in London, India, UAE, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Dr. Wang and her team have worked on many aspects of Beijing Olympic Games: Bus Rapid Transit, subway planning and design, urban design, strategic transport planning and sustainable transport design. Dr. Wang and her team are responsible for evaluating and improving traffic facilities and operation plan for the Opening and Closing Ceremony, VIP, Athlete and Media Transport, Olympic Green Comprehensive transportation planning, transit planning after the game and ITS strategic planning.
